Chemical Organization:
Myrrh(Harad) contains receptors, Tannic acid 20-40%,
Gallic acid, Chebulinic acid and mucilage.
The laxative substance is the Glyco-sides of the Ectroquinone species. According to the Wealth of India, Glucose, Surbitol, Fructose, Sucrose,Maltose and Arabinose are the major carbohydrates of Myrrh(Harad).

In Myrrh(Harad), 18 types of Amino Acides are found in the free state, Phosphorus and Succinic Acid are also high in it.
Myrrh(Harad) occupies the highest position in Ayurveda. Myrrh(Harad) consists of 5 juices in addition to salts.
